Astana holds parliamentary hearings on the WTO accession

(kazinform) - Majilis holds today parliamentary hearings on preparations for Kazakhstan's entry into the World Trade Organization (WTO).

Kazakh Vice Premier Karim Massimov has made a report on Kazakhstan's accession as a factor for raising national economy's competitive power, reports Trend.

The Government of Kazakhstan considers the country's joining as one of the key accelerators of the country's economic modernization. It is crucial to prepare the society for the changes the globalization promises. It is noteworthy the major part of the work on bringing legislation in line has been already completed, Massimov uttered. It is planned to insert amendments to 33 laws in effect and adopt 5 additional laws, necessary for transition to an international technical regulation system, Vice Premier added.
