During the visit the President of Kazakhstan and the German Chancellor will hold bilateral talks. Besides, "meetings with the German president Horst Kohler, the president of the Bundestag Norbert Lammert, representatives of political circles, heads of big German companies, representatives of the Kazakh Diaspora, immigrants and students are planned."
A number of bilateral documents will be inked as a result of the meetings.
"Taking into consideration the importance of extending the bilateral economic and commercial co-operation with Germany as a key partner of Kazakhstan in Europe, it is planned to carry out a business forum "Kazakhstani-German Economic Dialogue", - Mr. Ashikbayev observed.
According to the MFA press service, Germany is the sixth biggest commercial partner of Kazakhstan. The commodity turnover for January-November 2006 amounted to $2.2 billion, including the export - $0.5 billion, the import - $1.7 billion. In 2005 the commodity turnover between the countries amounted to $1.7 billion, in 2004 - to $1.2 billion.
