Kyrgyzstan, Bishkek, Dec. 23 / Trend , R.Mashadihasanli/ The St. Petersburg State University held its first Aytmatov reading organized by the Faculty of International Relations jointly with the Kyrgyzstan National Library, Kyrgyzstan Representation at the Inter-Parliamentary Assembly of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS IPA), Kyrgyzstan Honorary Consulate in St. Petersburg, and the St. Petersburg Administration, spokesman for Kyrgyz Parliament Melis Erzhigitov told Trend .
According to Erzhigitov, reading began with watching a movie presentation on the creative ways of Chingiz Aytmatov.
Open discussions involved prominent figures of science, culture, education, and art from St. Petersburg.
The event was concluded by reading of an excerpt from Aytmatov's Mother's Field story.
