Experts of the Kyrgyz Emergency Ministry left for Almaty (Kazakhstan) in view of preparation to meeting of Emergency Ministers of Shanghai Cooperation Organization, press service of the ministry reported.
The ministers themselves will reportedly start their work in Aktau city on June 5, 2009. The meeting will consider activity of SCO departments on prevention and liquidation of emergency situations. "Ministers will also discuss issues of trans-frontier cooperation and plan joint actions in case of trans-frontier emergencies. The members will exchange their experience in the sphere of scientific research. Russia will inform the ministers about international maneuvers Bogorodsk -SCO," press service added, "24.kg" reported.
It is planned to consider draft of Additional protocol to Agreement of SCO members on mutual assistance in liquidation of emergency situations as of October 26, 2005. The draft will be presented by the Kazakh delegation.
On the same day, June 5, emergency ministers will also take part in drills on liquidation of oil outflow at the fort Bautino, Mangistausk region, situated 100 from the city Aktau.
