Law enforcement agencies of Kyrgyzstan did not allow Nagina Bakhrieva, a well-known Tajik human rights activist to enter the country, members of the social fund Voice of Freedom told the news agency 24.kg.

The human rights activist arrived at the international airport Manas from Tajikistan on December 2 to deliver training for ombudsman's staff and the Kyrgyz parliament. However, border guards at Bishkek airport did not allow Nagina Bakhrieva to enter the country, saying they had an order banning her from entering until 2019.

The officers told Bakhrieva her entry was banned due to "problems with Kyrgyz agencies in September 2009 during her last visit to the republic.

Another well-known human rights activist Bakhrom Khamroev was detained at the Osh office of Radio Liberty on November 18.
