"Dismissal of 26 judges will damage legal system of Kyrgyzstan," former judge of the Supreme Court of the Kyrgyz Republic Nizamidin Azimzhanov stated at the press-conference today, 24kg reported.
He noted that dismissed judges are the most expert and experienced employees. "Who will replace us? The legal system is a very complicated organization. But young people even don't know how to litigate and deliver judgments."
"We exist only on a salary. So, our dismissal will shake our poor family budget. There were even intentions to organize a rally. However, we are judges and have to honour the letter of the law. I have written many times a request asking to reinstate in my former office addressed to Roza Otunbaeva. Supposedly, my requests didn't reach the interim president," Nizamidin Azimzhanov said.
"I don't consider Roza Otunbaeva's decision to dismiss me from office as illegal, I don't have right to think that. But I consider as illegal actions of those who prepared these papers. Accusations of me don't have any grounds. All judgments I had ever obtained were legal."
