Kyrgyzstan has become a part of the European scientific education network, Press Secretary of the National Academy of Science of Kyrgyzstan Nuria Shagapova informed 24.kg news agency.
According to her, connection to the Central Asian Research and Education Network (CAREN) has been completed, and thus access to the European scientific education network and Internet has been received. Presentation of the project will be held on September 21 at 10 a.m. in the National Academy of Science.
"The new network will serve as a basis of regional cooperation in the sphere of education and science. It will contribute to development of monitoring of acts of nature and prevention of disasters, telemedicine and distance education in Kyrgyzstan. So far more than 50 institutions have been connected to the network - these are universities and colleges of Bishkek city, NAS research institutes, the National Cardiology Center, the National Library, comprehensive schools and lyceums," the statement reads.
According to Nuria Shagapova, the scientific elite of the NAS KR headed by President Sharipa Zhorobekova, the delegation of the European Commission in Kyrgyzstan, representatives of missions of Central Asian countries and national scientific education networks will participate in the presentation.
