A new head of the National Commission for National Language under the President is appointed in Kyrgyzstan, news agency "24.kg" reported.
The president for transitional period Roza Otunbayeva issued a decree appointing Ryskeldi Mombekov to the post of the head of the National Commission.
Let's note the former head Azimzhan Ibraimov was resigned after promoting initiative to rename all population centers having Russian names.
Earlier Ryskeldi Mombekov headed the Ministry of Culture and Information during times of the interim government.
Much earlier he was an active member of the Human Right Committee headed by Ramzan Daryldayev.
