In Kyrgyzstan, deputies initiate formation of parliamentary commission of inquiry into involvement of people, detained by special services, into terrorist acts, deputy Kanybek Osmonaliev announced the suggestion at today's session of the Parliament, 24.kg reported.
According to him, parents of two detained youth people turned to him. Kyrgyzstan's State National Security Committee (GKNB) officers charged them with involvement into organization of terroristic acts in Kyrgyzstan, including terroristic acts near sports arena of Bishkek, on November 30.
"But parents of these guys assure that their children are not guilty. They assert that their children were forced to give testimony and slander themselves. Yesterday they held meeting near the White House. Deputies' interference in required," added Osmonaliev.
Deputies supported his initiative and issue on formation of parliamentary commission was put on the agenda.
In January 2011, the leader of NGOs and NPOs Association Toktaiym Umetalieva made a statement that the two guys, held in pre-trial detention center of GKNB on charges of involvement into terrorism, were part of the State Commission for the distribution of humanitarian aid to the victims of the events in the south of the republic in June 2010. This commission was formed by the order of the Chief of presidential staff Emilbek Kaptagaev.
