Yesterday, on July 27, the Ministry of Finance in Kyrgyzstan signed with Swiss Government the Confederation grant agreement on 9.9 million euros on the Improvement of water supply for cities of Osh and Jalal-Abad project, 24.kg reports with the reference to the Ministry of Finance.

According to it, 5.05 million euros will be sent to improve Osh water supply, and 4.85 million euros - Jalal-Abad. "This project is funded by two donors: the Government of the Swiss Confederation and the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development. The loan agreements with European Bank for Reconstruction and Development were signed on May 23, 2011 to the amount of 6.8 million euros and 3.4 million euros of them - to the south capital, 3.4 million euros - for Jalal-Abad. The total project cost is 16.7 million euro," the press-service explains.

As noted, the project is for four years and it will be implemented by industrial and operational Oshvodokanal (water treatment plant) and Jalal-Abadvodokanal (water treatment plant) administrations. The allocated funds will be sent to the worn parts of pipeline replacement, installation of new equipment for water treatment and new counters as well as pumps replacement.
