The Kyrgyz Grand Mufti plans to bring an action against Ombudsman Tursunbek Akun and party leader Edil Baysalov. The head of the Spiritual Administration of Muslims of KRG Chubak azhy Zhalilov made this statement at a news conference today, 24.kg reported.
Zhalilov said he had consultations with lawyers and was preparing all necessary documents for the court examination.
"Baysalov blames me in all sins, saying as though I am pulling the country into the Middle Ages," Zhalilov added.
Akun, in his turn, proposed to set up a commission to investigate Zhalilov's work.
"I am the Grand Mufti and according to the Constitution, the state is split from religion," Zhalilov said.
