2 thousand 405 voters voted abroad, reported KyrTAG with the reference to the territorial election commission (TEC), Kyrgyz foreign ministry.

"According to the latest information, 2 405 voters voted abroad out of 38 252 registered" - said in the TEC.

In England, voted - 27 voters; in Bonn - 82; Istanbul - 70; India -187; Iran - 24; Pakistan - 34; Saudi Arabia - 25; Moscow - 650; Ukraine - 33; Belarus - 25; Almaty - 121; Astana 100; Tajikistan - Turkmenistan 84 - 13.

Presidental elections started in Kyrgyzstan on Sunday.

The polling stations were opened at 8:00 a.m. According to the new Constitution the President of Kyrgyzstan is elected for six years and only one presidential term.

2289 polling stations opened as well as 29 polling stations in 23 countries worldwide.

Over 3 million voters are registered in the country to date.

792 international observers from 56 countries monitored the elections.
