"Around 500 people have gathered at the central square of Jalal Abad, most of them are young people. The rally hasn't started yet as they are waiting for people from neighbouring regions, such as Nooken, Bazarkon, to arrive. The people are going to wait for the court decision," Saparov added.

As previously reported, deputies of the Ata Jurt faction Sadir Japarov, Kamchibek Tashiyev and Talant Mamitov were arrested due to riots in Bishkek. All remain in the detention centre for SNSC criminal cases under Art. 297 and 295 which is a public call for the overthrow of the constitutional order and attempted seizure of power, of the Criminal Code. According to the lawyer, they will be formally charged within 48 hours.

A rally organised by the opposition took place on October 3 in front of the Kyrgyz parliament. The main demand was an immediate nationalisation of the Kumtor gold mine. During the rally Kamchybek Tashiev publicly urged the people to seize power.

According to nonspecific data, over 1000 people took part at the meeting and more than 30 per cent attempted to seize power by invading the Parliament.

At least 12 people were injured as a result of the assault, including members of the law enforcement agencies.
