China will close the border from Feb.9 to 17 in connection with the Spring Festival, KyrTAG reported on Monday with reference to the State Border Service of Kyrgyzstan.
'On the initiative of the Chinese side on the occasion of the Spring Festival, namely the Chinese New Year, the Torugart and Irkeshtam check points on the Kyrgyz-Chinese state border from Feb.9 to 17, 2013 inclusive will be temporarily closed', the statement says.
