Kyrgyz President arrives in Gabala

The President of Kyrgyzstan Almazbek Atambayev has arrived in Gabala to participate in the third Summit of the Cooperation Council of Turkic-Speaking States, according to the press service of the President of Kyrgyzstan.

Gabala is located in the north of Azerbaijan, 220 kilometres from Baku.

The summit is expected to discuss issues on further development of cooperation between the organisation's member countries.

It is also expected that during the meeting, the council presidency will be transferred from Kyrgyzstan to the Azerbaijani side.

A series of bilateral meetings between President Almazbek Atambayev and heads of the organisation's member states will be held within the summit.
