BAKU, Azerbaijan, November 17. Kyrgyzstan's car production increased from January through October 2022, Trend reports citing the National Statistical Committee of Kyrgyzstan.
According to statistics, the value of cars produced in Kyrgyzstan in 10 months this year amounted to 1 billion soms ($12.5 million), which is an increase of 14.9 percent over the same period in 2021 (918.7 million soms or $10.8 million).
Overall, total Kyrgyzstan's vehicle production in the reporting period increased by 10 percent compared to the same period of last year (1 billion soms or $12.4 million) - up to 1.1 billion soms ($13.9 million).
Earlier in October, it was announced that Kyrgyzstan is currently participating in a project, which is being funded by the Asian Development Bank (ADB), that aims to increase the number of electric and gas-powered cars.
Meanwhile, the official exchange rate set by the National Bank of Kyrgyzstan as of November 17, 2022 is KGS 84,4/1USD.
