BAKU, Azerbaijan, January 24. The value of Kyrgyz imports from Germany significantly increased from January through November 2022, Trend reports citing the National Statistical Committee of Kyrgyzstan.
According to statistics, Kyrgyzstan imported German goods worth $128.7 million in 11 months of last year, which is more than a twofold increase compared to the corresponding period of 2021 ($56 million).
During the reporting period of last year, Kyrgyzstan's exports to Germany reached $14.7 million, which is an increase of 28.9 percent over the same period in 2021 ($11.4 million).
Thus, Kyrgyzstan-Germany trade turnover totaled $143.4 million from January through November 2022, which is a twofold increase in comparison to the same period of 2021 ($67.4 million).
Kyrgyzstan regards Germany as one of the most important partners in Europe. The trade turnover between the two countries is still not significant but has a certain potential for increasing it through the development of the agrarian potential of Kyrgyzstan. Notably, Germany is one of the major donors in Kyrgyzstan, providing financial support.
