BAKU, Azerbaijan, February 9. The producer prices for agricultural products in Kyrgyzstan decreased by 4 percent in December 2022, Trend reports with reference to the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU).
According to the EAEU, in December 2022, the producer prices for agricultural products in the member countries of the Union remained at the same level as in the same month of 2021 and decreased by 0.4 percent compared to November 2022.
The decrease in the prices in December 2022, compared to the same period of 2021 (besides Kyrgyzstan) was registered in Russia (a decrease of 4.1 percent).
Meanwhile, the prices went up in Belarus (an increase of 24 percent), Armenia (an increase of 14.3 percent), and Kazakhstan (an increase of 9 percent).
At the same time, producer prices for crop products in the EAEU over this period dropped by 8 percent and increased by 6.6 percent in the livestock industry.
Agriculture accounted for about 20 percent of Kyrgyzstan’s gross domestic product. According to the data, the value of agricultural products manufactured in Kyrgyzstan amounted to 354.6 billion somoni ($4.1 billion) in 2022.
