BAKU, Azerbaijan, February 22. Trade turnover between Kyrgyzstan and China amounted to $4.1 billion from January through December 2022, which is a 2.7 times increase from the same period of 2021 ($1.5 billion), Trend reports with reference to the State Statistical Committee of Kyrgyzstan.

According to the statistics, the exports from Kyrgyzstan to China in the reporting period reached $60.8 million, slightly decreasing from $64 million in 2021.

Meanwhile, Kyrgyz imports from China in 2022 noted a significant growth of up to $4 billion, from $1.4 billion in 2021.

Mainly Kyrgyzstan exports to China mineral ores, gold, as well as fruits and honey. China exports to Kyrgyzstan clothes, vegetables, and electronic equipment.

The value of Kyrgyzstan’s foreign trade turnover amounted to $11.8 in 2022, which is a 41-percent increase over the same period of 2021 ($8.3 billion).

The value of export from Kyrgyzstan made up $2.1 billion in 2022, decreasing by 21 percent compared to 2021 ($2.7 billion).

The value of imports to Kyrgyzstan in the reporting period amounted to $9 billion last year, which is an increase of 72 percent from 2021 ($5 billion).
