BAKU, Azerbaijan, March 2. The manufacturing prices in Kyrgyzstan's industrial sector increased by 5.2 percent in January 2023 (year on year), Trend reports with reference to the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC).

In comparison to December 2022, the prices increased by 4.6 percent.

According to the EEC, Kyrgyzstan registered the largest increase of 12.4 percent with prices related to mining and development of quarries in Jan. 2023, year on year.

The increase compared to December 2022 amounted to 2.9 percent.

Elsewhere, the second largest annual growth of production prices in the country was registered in the field of power, gas, steam and air conditioning – an increase of 8.6 percent year on year.

Meanwhile, the figure increased by 0.6 percent from December 2022.

Production prices in the manufacturing sector of Kyrgyzstan rose by 4.2 percent year on year in the first month of 2023. At the same time, the growth in prices over December 2022 amounted to 5.3 percent from.

The smallest annual growth in industrial producer prices was observed for water supply, sewer system and control over waste collection and distribution (an increase of 2.4 percent year on year).

The prices in the abovementioned sector faced an increase of 2.8 percent, compared to December 2022.
