BAKU, Azerbaijan, March 6. Kyrgyzstan’s imports of rice amounted to 87 tons in January 2023, which is a decrease of 1.2 times, compared to 112 tons in January 2022, Trend reports with reference to the State Customs Service of Kyrgyzstan.

The value of imports reached $34,300 in January 2023, which is a decrease of 1.3 times over $47,100 in January 2022. There is no data on exports of rice from Kyrgyzstan for January 2023.

Reportedly, Kyrgyzstan imported 2,249 tons of rice from January through December 2022, which is an increase of 3.2 times over 688 tons in 2022.

The value of rice imports amounted to $1 million in 2022, which is an increase of 2.7 times, compared to $425,700 in 2021.

In comparison, the volume of rice exports from Kyrgyzstan amounted to 31 tons for $507,600 in 2022. In comparison, Kyrgyzstan exported 186 tons of rice for $62,600 in 2021.

The value of Kyrgyzstan’s foreign trade turnover amounted to $767 million in January 2023, which is an increase of 1.9 times, compared to $384.6 in January 2022.

The value of Kyrgyz imports amounted to $524 million in January 2023, which is a decrease of 1.5 times, compared to $346 million in January 2022.

The value of Kyrgyz exports reached $243 million in the first month of 2023, increasing by 6.3 times over $38 million in January 2022.
