BAKU, Azerbaijan, March 8. The number of visitors from Kyrgyzstan to Azerbaijan amounted to 238 people in February 2023, which is an increase of almost 5 times over 48 people in the same period of 2022, Trend reports with the reference to the State Tourism Agency of Azerbaijan.
Reportedly, some 141 foreigners from Kyrgyzstan visited Azerbaijan in January 2023, which is an increase of 1.8 times, compared to January 2022.
In total, Azerbaijan was visited by 379 citizens of Kyrgyzstan from January through February 2023. The figure increased by 3 times over the same period of 2022 (126 people).
However, it is still a decrease from 422 visitors from January through February of 2019.
Meanwhile, the number of visitors arriving from Kyrgyzstan to Azerbaijan amounted to 3,240 in 2022, which is more than 3.8 times, compared to 836 tourists in 2021. Although, the figure is still smaller than 4,460 visitors in 2019.
Moreover, the tourist flow from Azerbaijan to Kyrgyzstan amounted to 754 people in 2022, increasing from 357 people in 2021. In comparison, some 302 Azerbaijan’s citizens visited Kyrgyzstan in 2019.
