BAKU, Azerbaijan, May 10. Kyrgyzstan imported 5,459 tons of citrus fruits from January through February 2023, Trend reports via the State Statistical Committee of Kyrgyzstan.
The imports increased by 31.3 percent compared to 4,156 tons in the first two months of 2022.
In the reporting period, Kyrgyzstan imported citrus for $3.5 million, which is 45 percent more than $2.4 million in the same data of 2022.
Main citrus suppliers to Kyrgyzstan from January through February 2023:
Pakistan - 1,673 tons;
Türkiye - 1,370 tons;
China – 1,095 tons;
Uzbekistan – 262 tons;
Kazakhstan –145 tons;
Russia – 108 tons;
Iran – 77 tons;
Meanwhile, Kyrgyzstan’s trade turnover amounted to $1.7 billion from January through February 2023, which is an increase of 22.7 percent year-on-year ($1.3 billion in the same period of 2023).
Kyrgyzstan’s exports exceed $255.6 million, which is 2 percent more than in the corresponding months of 2022.
The imports to Kyrgyzstan exceeded $1.4 billion, which is a growth of 27.2 percent year-on-year ($1.1 billion from January through February 2022).
