BAKU, Azerbaijan, June 6. Over 6,100 rural producers in Kyrgyzstan have received preferential loans under the "Agricultural Financing" project, totaling over 2.7 billion soms ($30.8 million) as of June 1, 2023, Trend reports.
According to the figures obtained from the Ministry of Finance of the country, the Financial Credit Fund of the Ministry has allocated 54.5 billion soms ($623 million) to 126,900 economic entities since the implementation of the project.
The breakdown of allocations is as follows: 100,600 entities engaged in livestock have received 35.1 billion soms ($401.1 million), 23,800 entities in crop production received 8.5 billion soms ($97.1 million), while 2,500 entities in agricultural product processing received 10.9 billion soms ($124.6 million).
The "Agricultural Financing" project involves the participation of two commercial banks in Kyrgyzstan, with a total lending volume of 3.3 billion soms ($37.7 million).
