BAKU, Azerbaijan, June 23. The loan portfolio of Kyrgyzstan's banking sector clients amounted to 215.6 billion soms ($2.4 billion) as of April 30, Trend reports.
According to the National Bank of Kyrgyzstan, the figure increased by 5.7 percent since the beginning of the year.
The distribution of loans across various sectors is as follows:
The industrial sector received 13.1 billion soms ($150 million), showing a 3.9 percent decrease compared to December 31, 2022.
The agriculture sector reached 39.4 billion soms ($451.3 million), witnessing a growth of 6.4 percent compared to December 31, 2022.
The trade sector’s loans amounted to 60 billion soms ($687.2 million), which is an increase of 6.7 percent, compared to December 31, 2022.
The construction sector faced a decline of 4.9 percent compared to December 31, 2022, with loans totaling 12.3 billion soms ($140.8 million).
Mortgage loans reached 25.6 billion soms ($293.2 million), which is a 5.3-percent increase, compared to December 31, 2022.
Consumer loans witnessed an increase of 7.1 percent compared to December 31, 2022, with a total of 37.1 billion soms ($424.9 million).
Other loans grew by 4.6 percent compared to December 31, 2022, totaling 28 billion soms ($320.7 million).
