Kyrgyzstan's imports of agricultural products increase

BAKU, Azerbaijan, June 29. Kyrgyzstan imported a total of 17,719 tons of agricultural products from June 16 through June 22, Trend reports.

According to the Ministry of Agriculture of Kyrgyzstan, these imports increased by 3 percent compared to the preceding week.

The Chuy region emerged as a prominent destination for agricultural imports, receiving a total of 8,520 tons of agricultural products. İn particular, 1,441 tons of grain was imported from Russia and Pakistan.

In the Osh region, 5,537 tons of agricultural products were imported, including 2,303 tons of vegetables and fruits from Uzbekistan and Turkmenistan, as well as 1,764 tons of watermelons and 343 tons of melons from Uzbekistan.

The Batken region saw the import of 2,014 tons of agricultural products, with the majority consisting of fruits from Uzbekistan (1,035 tons), along with 472 tons of watermelons and melons.

In the Naryn region, 734 tons of agricultural products were imported, with the main product being 383.4 tons of nuts imported from China.

The Jalal-Abad region received an import of 587 tons of agricultural products, which included 284 tons of carrots from Uzbekistan and 126 tons of wheat bran from Russia.

Furthermore, the Issyk-Kul region received an import of 205 tons of soybeans from Russia, while the Talas region imported 121.5 tons of agricultural products, including 95 tons of flour from Kazakhstan.
