Georgia's exports of cars to Kyrgyzstan almost triple

BAKU, Azerbaijan, June 29. Kyrgyzstan imported a total of 4,571 cars from Georgia from January through May 2023, Trend reports.

According to the National Statistics Office of Georgia, this figure represents an increase of 2.9 times compared to 1,525 cars imported during the same period in 2022.

In terms of value, the imports amounted to $181.798 million from January through May 2023, which is 20.6 times higher than $8.815 million recorded during the corresponding months in 2022.

Overall, the trade turnover between Georgia and Kyrgyzstan reached $212.858 million from January to May 2023, reflecting a significant increase of 14.3 times compared to $14.798 million recorded from January through May 2022.

Kyrgyzstan's imports from Georgia amounted to $210.696 million during this period, which is an increase of 11.8 times compared to $17.753 million recorded from January through May 2022.

Kyrgyzstan exported goods to Georgia worth $2.161 million, which is twice the amount exported during the corresponding months of 2022 ($1.045 million).
