BISHKEK, Kyrgyzstan, August 29. Trade turnover between Kyrgyzstan and Finland reached $4.505 million from January through June 2023, increasing 4.6 times compared to the corresponding months of 2022 ($976,600), Trend reports.
According to the State Statistical Committee of Kyrgyzstan, the major portion of this trade turnover was attributed to Kyrgyzstan’s imports from Finland, which amounted to $4.422 million.
This figure surged by 4.6 times compared to $947,400 in the corresponding months of 2022. Meanwhile, Kyrgyzstan’s exports to Finland amounted to $82,600, which is 2.8 times higher than in the first half of 2022 ($29,200).
In the same reporting period, Kyrgyzstan's foreign trade turnover reached $6.7 billion, which is an increase of 31 percent compared to the first half of 2022 ($5.1 billion).
Kyrgyzstan's exports reached $1.306 billion, which is a 34.6 percent increase over $970.5 million recorded in the first half of 2022.
The country's imports amounted to $5.398 billion, up by 30.3 percent compared to the same months of the previous year ($4.142 billion).
