BISHKEK, Kyrgyzstan, September 5. The average nominal monthly wage in Kyrgyzstan is growing at the highest rate among all the member states of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU), Trend repots.
The data from the Eurasian Economic Commission shows that the growth rate of the nominal average monthly wage in Kyrgyzstan is recorded at 29.1 percent. Kyrgyzstan also leads in terms of the growth of real wages, correlated with the consumer price index for goods and services, at 14.6 percent.
However, Kyrgyzstan still has the lowest earnings among the EAEU member countries. At the end of the June 2023, it amounted to 31,900 soms (near $367). In comparison, in Belarus average salaries are nearly twice as high, while in Russia, they are almost three times higher.
According to the State Statistical Committee in Kyrgyzstan, the average nominal monthly wage in the country as of the end of June 2023 increased by 29.1 percent year-on-year.
The highest average nominal wage was recorded in the Issyk-Kul region, at 39,403 soms ($446), followed by Bishkek with 37,873 soms ($429), while the lowest wage was in the Osh region, at 26,627 soms ($301).
