BISHKEK, Kyrgyzstan, November 23. Kyrgyzstan's state banks have been strengthened, and their authorized capital has increased, Akylbek Japarov, Chairman of Kyrgyzstan's Cabinet of Ministers and Head of the Administration of Kyrgyzstan's President, said, Trend reports.
He elaborated that RSK Bank's authorized capital amounted to 2.3 billion soms ($25.8 million) in 2020, and today it has increased fourfold, reaching 9.4 billion soms ($105.8 million).
Additionally, the authorized capital of Aiyl Bank was 3.5 billion soms ($39.4 million) in 2020, and now it has increased by 3.5 times, reaching 12.4 billion soms ($139.6 million).
According to Japarov, both banks are among the largest state banks in the country. Increasing their authorized capital serves as a strong incentive for the implementation of government programs.
The head of the cabinet also added that Kyrgyzstan's foreign trade turnover reached around $10.8 billion from January through September 2023, which is 26.2 percent higher compared to the same period in 2022.
