BISHKEK, Kyrgyzstan, January 5. Kyrgyzstan exported 92,854 tons of ores and concentrates of precious metals from January through October 2023, which is a decrease of 0.3 percent compared to the same period in 2022 (93,171 tons), Trend reports.
According to Kyrgyzstan’s State Statistical Committee, the value of these exports amounted to $168.601 million, representing an increase of 46.7 percent compared to the same period in 2022 ($114.929 million).
During the reporting period, Kyrgyzstan exported ores and concentrates of precious metals to the following countries:

At the same time, Kyrgyzstan imported 160 tons of precious metal ores and concentrates worth $23,400 from Kazakhstan during the first ten months of 2023.
From January through November 2023, the value of production in Kyrgyzstan's mineral extraction sector was 49.593 billion soms ($556 million), a 16 percent rise year on year. Year on year, the volume climbed by 3.5 percent.
From January through October 2023, Kyrgyzstan's foreign trade turnover reached $12.297 billion, a 24.9 percent rise from $9.845 billion in the same period in 2022.
Exports from Kyrgyzstan totaled $2.443 billion during the 10 months, marking a 29.6 percent increase compared to $1.885 billion recorded from January through October 2022. Imports into Kyrgyzstan amounted to $9.854 billion during this period, up by 23.8 percent compared to the same period in 2022 ($7.959 billion).
