Kyrgyzstan boosts exports of oil products to Uzbekistan

BISHKEK, Kyrgyzstan, February 5. Kyrgyzstan exported 62,291 tons of oil products to Uzbekistan from January through November 2023, Trend reports.

Data from Kyrgyzstan's State Statistical Committee shows that this figure soared by 3.5 times compared to the corresponding months in 2022 (17,733 tons). The total value of these exports stood at $16.959 million, which is a 2.5-fold increase year-on-year ($6.754 million from January through November 2022).

Uzbekistan secured the second position among the countries to which Kyrgyzstan exported oil products in the first 11 months of 2023, with Türkiye holding the top spot. Türkiye purchased 79,937 tons of oil products valued at $51.632 million.

Kyrgyzstan exported a total of 173,355 tons of oil products from January through November 2023, representing an 11.3 percent decrease compared to the same period in 2022 (195,414 tons).

The overall trade turnover between Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan reached $633.200 million from January through November 2023, rising by 16.6 percent compared to the same months in 2022 ($543.192 million).
