BISHKEK, Kyrgyzstan, March 6. Kyrgyzstan's mixed mineral fertilizer exports surged to 5,841 tons in 2023, which is a 9.3 times increase compared to 624 tons in 2022, Trend reports.
The State Statistical Committee of Kyrgyzstan revealed that the export value amounted to $4.221 million, a staggering 27-fold rise compared to $151,100 recorded in 2022.
In Afghanistan, 5,472 tons of mixed mineral fertilizers were exported in 2023, valued at $4.221 million. This type of export to Afghanistan was absent in 2022. Additionally, 358 tons were exported to Kazakhstan for $115,600.
Kyrgyzstan's foreign trade turnover totaled $15.660 billion in 2023, a 29.9 percent increase over 2022 ($12.057 billion). The country's exports totaled $3.308 billion, up 46.8 percent year-on-year ($2.254 billion in 2022). Imports to Kyrgyzstan totaled $12.352 billion, an increase of 26 percent from $9.803 billion in 2022.
