BISHKEK, Kyrgyzstan, March 12. The average monthly nominal wage of workers in Kyrgyzstan (excluding small firms) in January 2024 was 33,664 soms ($376.43), a 12.7 percent increase from January 2023., Trend reports.
According to data from the State Statistical Committee of Kyrgyzstan, the growth of the nominal wage was observed across enterprises and organizations of all types of economic activities in Kyrgyzstan.
The most notable increases were witnessed in the sectors of wholesale and retail trade, repair of motor vehicles and motorcycles (58.3 percent), other service activities (44 percent), and real estate activities (35.4 percent).
Additionally, there were significant monthly wage increases in the construction sector (28.5 percent), extraction of minerals (27.4 percent), water supply, purification, waste treatment, and secondary raw material production (24.7 percent), professional, scientific, and technical activities (23.5 percent), manufacturing (17.3 percent), as well as transportation and cargo storage (17 percent).
