Kyrgyzstan ramps up eggs production

BISHKEK, Kyrgyzstan, March 28. A total of 90.1 million eggs were produced in Kyrgyzstan from January through February 2024, which is a 14.3 percent increase compared to the same period in 2023, Trend reports.

The Kyrgyzstan State Statistical Committee indicates that the Chuy region contributed the highest number of eggs, with 71.761 million produced, reflecting a 14.7 percent increase year-on-year.

Furthermore, the Osh region saw a production of 6.128 million eggs, followed by the Jalal-Abad region with 4.861 million eggs, the Issyk-Kul region with 3.734 million eggs, the Talas region with 1.851 million eggs, the Batken region with 1.128 million eggs, and the Naryn region with 411,000 eggs. Additionally, the cities of Bishkek and Osh produced 88,000 and 137,000 eggs, respectively.

In 2023, Kyrgyzstan produced a total of 685.738 million eggs, which is 12.8 percent higher than 607.883 million produced in 2022.

Meanwhile, the gross output of agriculture, forestry, and fishing in Kyrgyzstan amounted to 24.236 billion soms ($270.763 million) from January through February 2024, with the volume of production increasing by 1.4 percent.
