BISHKEK, Kyrgyzstan, April 9. Kyrgyzstan imported 4,677 tons of citrus fruits in January 2024, which is a 37.6 percent increase compared to the same month in 2023 (3,398 tons), Trend reports.
Data from Kyrgyzstan’s State Statistical Committee indicates that the value of these imports amounted to $3.153 million, a year-on-year increase of 43.3 percent ($2.2 million in January of the previous year).

To note, Kyrgyzstan's foreign trade turnover totaled $1.168 billion in January 2024, which is a 36.8 percent increase compared to January 2023. Exports amounted to $181.3 million, a 46.6 percent increase year-on-year. Imports increased by 35.1 percent, reaching $987.5 million.
