BISHKEK, Kyrgyzstan, June 12. A plant for assembling two- and three-wheeled electric scooters in the Naryn region of Kyrgyzstan is planned to be operational by the end of June, Trend reports.
According to the authorized representative of the president in the region, the plant is being built by the Sigang Xinjiang Guoji Maoi Chinese company.
The assembly plant will be registered as a subject of the Naryn free economic zone and will be located in the At-Bashy district. The necessary equipment from China is expected to be delivered to the plant by June 20, 2024, and organizational work will be conducted.
It was noted that the plant is also collaborating with local suppliers and enterprises, creating additional opportunities for the development of small and medium-sized businesses.
Additionally, it was reported earlier in April that China's Kashgar Jiabo Technology company plans to launch automobile production in Kyrgyzstan's Naryn region.
The plant's launch is expected to provide employment for 100 to 1,000 local residents, producing vehicles powered by gasoline, gas, and electricity. Suitable locations for construction are currently being considered, including options in Kochkor, Naryn, and At-Bashy.
