BISHKEK, Kyrgyzstan, September 6. Kyrgyzstan has temporarily suspended the export of cattle, small ruminants, and horses, Trend reports.

According to the Ministry of Water Resources, Agriculture, and Processing Industry, the suspension is due to an ongoing inventory and identification process within the Animal Identification and Tracking System, managed by the Veterinary Service of the ministry.

This measure aims to ensure accurate accounting of the country’s livestock and enhance control over veterinary and sanitary regulations.

The inventory process is expected to take 15 to 20 days, after which export permits will be reissued. The ministry assures that applications submitted during this period will be prioritized and processed as soon as the inventory review is completed.
