BISHKEK, Kyrgyzstan, September 11. Ministry of Economy and Commerce of Kyrgyzstanhas signed agreements with the rating agencies Oppenheimer Europe Ltd and Fitch Ratings, the Kyrgyz Stock Exchange (KSE) told Trend.
The ministry has signed an agreement with Oppenheimer Europe Ltd for consulting services to obtain a sovereign credit rating, and with Fitch Ratings for the initial assignment of a sovereign credit rating for Kyrgyzstan.
A specially formed working group, which included experts from the Kyrgyz Stock Exchange, has prepared the analytical framework and related documents necessary for determining Kyrgyzstan’s credit rating. These materials will now serve as the foundation for successful collaboration with Oppenheimer Europe Ltd and Fitch Ratings.
Fitch Ratings is an American corporation that provides credit ratings, commentary, and research for global capital markets. Oppenheimer Europe offers financial services to institutions and corporations in areas such as corporate finance, equities, fixed income, debt capital markets, and portfolio strategy research.
