BISHKEK, Kyrgyzstan, October 14. The total number of remittances to Kyrgyzstan in euros amounted to 16,000 transactions worth 7.1 million euros in the second quarter of 2024.
The data obtained by Trend from the country's National Bank shows that compared to the same period last year, the number of transfers increased by 10.3 percent and the volume grew by 24.6 percent.
The number of outgoing transfers amounted to 400 transactions totaling 400,000 euros. Compared to the same period last year, the number of transfers remained at the same level, while the volume increased by 1.3 times.
To note, the total number of incoming transfers through international systems to Kyrgyzstan amounted to 1.661 million transactions totaling 50.7 billion som ($598.5 million) during the second quarter of 2024. Compared to the same period last year, the number of transfers decreased by 2.9 percent, while the volume increased by 21.6 percent.
