Tajikistan and Turkey discussed bilateral cooperation in a meeting between Tajikistan's Ambassador to Turkey Farrukh Sharipov and Turkish Interior Minister Idris Naim Shahin, Asia-Plus reported on Monday.
The sides discussed the meeting of intergovernmental commission, the activation of its work, as well as trade and economic, scientific and technical cooperation.
The two countries also discussed establishment of joint ventures in textile, food, mining, agricultural and tourism spheres. The sides studied the possibility of Turkey's participation in Tajikistan's investment projects.
Turkish minister Idris Naim Shahin expressed his satisfaction with the level of bilateral relations and his interest in the investment projects.
Tajikistani-Turkish intergovernmental commission was established in 2000 and it held 7 meetings up to now. The next meeting of the commission will be held in Turkey this year.
