The state and prospects of cooperation between Tajikistan and the UK were discussed at a meeting of Tajik Presdient Emomali Rahmon and British Ambassador to the country Robin Jeremy Ord-Smith, who delivered his credentials to the head of state, on Thursday, CA-News reported.
"Cooperation between the two countries within regional projects in the field of security, in particular in regard to the maintenance of stability in Afghanistan, was stressed with satisfaction," the report says.
The sides stressed the need of developing mutually beneficial economic cooperation.
The British Ambassador expressed his gratitude to the Tajik leadership for supporting anti-terrorist coalition forces in Afghanistan.
