Tajik authorities have promised to rebuild homes affected by a devastating earthquake in the east of the country on May 13, by the early autumn-winter period, CA-News quotes the country's government as saying on Wednesday.
"On behalf of the government by the early autumn-winter season, all the affected homes should be rebuilt," the source said.
According to the Emergency Situations and Civil Defence Committee, 72 houses were fully destroyed and 85 partially damaged in the Tavildara district as a result of the earthquake.
"At present, the created commission is calculating the amount of damage caused by the natural disaster. The local administration drew up a list of those who need housing," the source said.
He added that currently work is underway to eliminate consequences of the earthquake and a batch of food and other assistance was delivered to the affected area on May 14.
