Hugh Philpott has been appointed UK's new ambassador to Tajikistan, Asia-Plus news agency reported on October 28 citing the UK embassy.
Philpott will take office in January 2015.
He started his career at UK's Foreign and Commonwealth Office where his work particularly covered the international security issues, and the Middle East.
Earlier he worked in such cities as Oslo, Budapest, Baghdad, Washington and Muscat.
He also worked at the UK Department for International Development and Department for Business, Innovation and Skills.
