Baku, Azerbaijan, June 15. The construction of a new cement plant has started in Tajikistan's Sughd region, Trend reports with reference to the executive body of state power of Sughd region.
According to the authorities, the first stone in the construction of Fon-Cement was laid in the Ayni district of Tajikistan's Sughd region. The plant is planned to be put into operation in two years.
"The launch of a new enterprise in the Sughd region will provide jobs and decent wages for 120 local residents," the message said.
At the same time, Fon-Cement plant intends to set up production of 100,000 tons of cement per year.
