BAKU, Azerbaijan, August 17. Tajikistan shared up-to-date data on the country's vegetable harvest as of August 12, Trend reports via the Ministry of Agriculture of Tajikistan.
According to the Ministry, the total volume of Tajikistan's vegetable production amounted to 958,157 tons:
- 418,612 tons of onions;
- 186,425 tons of tomatoes;
- 107,509 tons of cucumbers;
- 100,789 tons of carrots;
- 102,048 tons of other vegetables.
"The cultivated area of vegetables in the country is 38,422 hectares - in the Sughd region 9,108 hectares, Khatlon region - 20,687 hectares, and 8,218 hectares in districts under Central Government Jurisdiction," the Ministry said.
Remarkably, Tajikistan in the first half 2022 exported more than 110,000 tons of agricultural products, including 75,000 tons of vegetables, 15,000 tons of fruits and 19,000 tons of dried fruits.
