BAKU, Azerbaijan, October 20. Tajikistan from January through September 2022 imported wheat and meslin from Kazakhstan in the amount of $214.8 million, Trend reports with reference to the Customs Service of Tajikistan.
According to statistics, the volume of Tajik imports of wheat and meslin from Kazakhstan in the first 9 months of this year amounted to 628,767 tons.
During the reporting period, Tajikistan also imported from Uzbekistan 7,893 tons of wheat and meslin in the amount of $1.5 million.
In addition, a total of 35,221 tons of wheat flour worth $12.3 million were also exported from Kazakhstan to Tajikistan.
Overall, Tajik imports from Kazakhstan in the 9 months of this year increased by 12.7 percent over the same period in 2021 ($593.8 million) - up to $669.7 million.
