BAKU, Azerbaijan, January 26. The volume of Tajik grape exports to Kazakhstan increased in 2022, Trend reports citing the Customs Service of Tajikistan.
During the last year, Tajikistan exported 25,287 tons of grapes to Kazakhstan, which is an increase of 9.1 percent compared to 2021 (23,177 tons).
The value of Tajik grape exports to Kazakhstan amounted to almost $6.3 million in 2022, which is an increase of 11.3 percent in comparison to 2021 ($5.6 million).
Remarkably, the demand for Tajik grapes abroad is growing every year. Last year, grapes from Tajikistan were mainly exported to Kazakhstan, Pakistan (for $1.5 million), and Russia ($1 million).
According to the Ministry of Agriculture, a total of 154,277 tons of grapes were collected throughout the country as of December 2, 2022, which is 43,122 tons more than in 2021.
