BAKU, Azerbaijan, February 9. National airline of Tajikistan Somon Air has increased the number of regular flights from Tajikistan's Dushanbe to Russia's Novosibirsk, from one to two times per week, Trend reports with reference to Russian media.
“From February 5, the flights along the Dushanbe – Novosibirsk – Dushanbe route are carried out twice a week, on Wednesdays and Sundays,” the company said.
The flights will be carried out on Boeing 737-800 and Boeing 737-900 aircraft.
According to Tajikistan Civil Aviation Agency, the country’s airports operate more than 200 flights to Russia weekly. In addition, more than 85 percent of air transportation is operated by Russian air carriers.
Tajik Somon Air is a member of the IATA (International Air Transport Association), approved by the European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA), and TCO-certified for operating flights to the EU countries. The company complies with the international flight safety standards, passed the IOSA audit (IATA operational safety audit).
Today, Somon Air carries out flights to 25 countries: Germany, the UAE, Türkiye, India, Iran, Russia, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan and others.
