BAKU, Azerbaijan, February 15. Trade turnover between Azerbaijan and Tajikistan amounted to $260,380 in January 2023, decreasing by 58 percent compared to January 2022 ($623,400), Trend reports with reference to the State Customs Committee of Azerbaijan.
Trade with Tajikistan accounted for 0.05 percent of Azerbaijani trade turnover with the CIS (Commonwealth of Independent States) countries in January 2023.
The value of imports from Azerbaijan to Tajikistan reached $259,500 in January 2023, which is a decrease of 58 percent compared to the same months of 2022 ($622,860).
The value of exports to Azerbaijan from Tajikistan in the reporting period made up $880, which is an increase of 62 percent over the same period of 2022 ($540).
Meanwhile, the value of Tajikistan's foreign trade turnover amounted more than $7.3 billion in 2022, which is an increase of 15 percent compared to 2021.
During the last year, the value of Tajikistan exported reached more than $2.1 billion and imports - $5.2 billion.
The main trading partners of Tajikistan last year were Russia (22.9 percent in foreign trade), Kazakhstan (19.7 percent), and China (16.6 percent).
